The Institution

Amigos dos Pequeninos Institution in Silves is a public utility, non-profit organization, whose primary goal is to promote the personal and social development of children, addressing various areas of development with the aim of their full integration into society as autonomous, free, and compassionate individuals, in line with an education for citizenship approach.

It offers four Social Responses: Nursury, Preschool, Leisure Activities Center (C.A.T.L.), and Early Childhood Intervention (I.P.I.).

The institution also provides the following extracurricular activities: English, Gymnastics, Water Adaptation, Yoga, Capoeira, Karate, Speech through Play, and Development through Movement.
Our Commitment to Equality
From the perspective of our Institution, the concept of EQUALITY refers to a comparison between two people, ensuring that there are no differences between them, or that they both have the same opportunities and the same rights. In practice, however, we cannot grant equal rights without first ensuring equity.
For example: Providing the same equipment to everyone is not practicing equality. But if we make the equipment accessible to everyone, meeting each individual's needs, then we achieve the essence of equality, allowing everyone to benefit from the equipment.
Amigos dos Pequeninos are friends to all children, and we promote Equal Rights by always applying the necessary equity, ensuring that everyone’s happiness is not compromised.
We are all different, but we are all equal. By practicing Equity, we achieve Equality.

Environmental Responsibility
Amigos dos Pequeninos institution plays a vital role in promoting environmental measures.
As an educational institution, it is our duty to equip future generations with good environmental habits. To achieve this, we have implemented various strategies within our community to reduce pollution and respect the environment. We provide knowledge about actions that threaten environmental health and, importantly, encourage direct contact with nature. This approach gives children the opportunity to experience and connect with Mother Nature, always with the goal of fostering a sense of responsibility in humans to preserve and respect their habitat.

Amigos dos Pequeninos Institution aims to serve the community by continually investing in the variety and quality of its services. It strives, whenever possible, to meet the needs and expectations of its clients/users, ensuring their satisfaction as well as that of its staff.
