Maximum Support Residence for Adults
Project no. 6030, supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan
Amigos dos Pequeninos, IPSS is creating a Maximum Support Residence for Adults (Residência de Apoio Máximo para Adultos, RAMa) in Silves, with 24 places, for adults with severe mental illness who need continuous, round-the-clock support.
The project is part of the National Network of Integrated Continuous Care (RNCCI), in its Integrated Continuous Mental Health Care strand (CCISM), and contributes to Target 56 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, which provides for expanding the network with mental health places. The operation is contracted with the Central Administration of the Health System (Administração Central do Sistema de Saúde, I.P.) under Invitation Notice AC no. 12/C01-i02/2023.
The contracted investment is 600 000,00 €, funded by the PRR with the support of the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This new service expands mental health care in the municipality of Silves and across the Algarve, bringing care closer to the community and to families.
Objectives
To create 24 Maximum Support Residence places for adults with severe mental illness, strengthening the capacity of the National Network of Integrated Continuous Mental Health Care in the Algarve and ensuring local, continuous and integrated care.
